Coronavirus Information and Eastern Howard Schools (Updated 5/4/20)

On Friday, May 1, 2020, Governor Holcomb announced a five-stage plan to get the state “back on track” by July 4, 2020. He did state that schools and school property remain closed through June 30th and he will address in the next few weeks the issues regarding re-opening schools in the future. This means that no students will be in the buildings and on campus (outside of the item drop-off and pick-up dates scheduled for later this month). Teachers will continue online learning on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays through Wednesday, May 20th.

Coronavirus Information and Eastern Howard Schools (Updated 04/03/20)

Comet Families,

Please refer to the information below this announcement about eLearning and and the current plans for Eastern Howard instruction. At this time we would like to share an update with you once more.

On Thursday, April 2, Governor Holcomb announced that Indiana schools will be closed for in-person instruction for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. It’s a shock to be faced with such an abrupt end to the school year. We know you have many questions, and we are working to get answers to them. This news does not change the plans for the April calendar. We will be looking at the May calendar early next week as to how we can meet the 160-day instructional requirements.

You can read the entirety of the letter from Dr. Richie below. As always, please check back often for updates, and stay home safe with our families.
