*Middle School Tech Club is cancelled for this afternoon.

 

*Students who are attending the first class for Driver’s Ed tomorrow should have received a paper with information for the class . If you are attending the April 20th class and did not receive a paper, please see Ms. Carpenter today.

 

*Get your friends and join the library as we host an escape room tomorrow, April 20.  Stop in or call the library to register a time.  You’ll have 30 minutes to escape.  Good luck!!!!!!

 

* Wednesday, April 24 from 5:30 – 7:30 the Comet Command will be holding Color Guard and Drum Line call outs for the 2024-2025 season.  All students grades 7 – 12 are welcome.  Contact Mr. Sloniker if you have any questions!

 

Reminder NO middle school track practice today and for those participating in tomorrow’s sections the bus will leave at 7:30 a.m. from the track.  Dress warm!

*The National Honor Society’s annual blood drive will be this Friday, April 19th. The American Red Cross will be here to collect donations from students and staff between 2nd and 6th periods. Anyone 16 and older is eligible to donate. Sign up on the bulletin board outside of Mrs. Foland’s room.

*Get your friends and join the library as we host an escape room this Saturday, May 20.  Stop in or call the library to register a time.  You’ll have 30 minutes to escape.  Good luck!!!!!!

* Middle School:  The bake sale will be available at lunch all this week! Be sure to visit the lollipop tree to win a prize.  Lollipops are 2/$1 or 5/$2.  Proceeds are helping eradicate hunger.  Thank you for your support!

  • Happy Singles Awareness Day! Yes.. it’s a thing. Celebrate your singleness with a sucker for uno dollar! Even if you’re not single, come on down to the cafeteria to get yours today!
  • “It’s time to add dodgeball back to your calendars. The rescheduled dates for our Dodgeball Duels are Tuesday February 20th for the Middle School division, and the High School Division will be Thursday February 22nd.  Both events will begin at 6pm. Teams can include both students and teachers, so get your teams together and be sure to turn in your forms no later than Monday February 19th. Forms may be picked up in the athletic office.”
  • *High school students who are interested in this year’s stage crew for the musical, there will be a call out meeting today in the choir room at 3:30.
  • *There will be open cages for boys’ golf Monday and Friday from 3:30-4:15. You must have a physical on file to participate. If you are planning to play, please see Coach Lamb this week to get uniform orders submitted.
  • ALL WALK A MILE PARTICIPANTS:

THERE WILL BE A MEETING FOR ALL WALK A MILE PARTICIPANTS IN MRS LARSON’S ROOM ON TUESDAY AT 7:50AM.  IF YOUR BUS ARRIVES LATE, STILL SEE MRS. LARSON FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU GO TO PERIOD 1.  WE NEED YOUR SHIRT SIZE.  WE NEED TO KNOW IF YOU ARE RIDING THE BUS AND WE WILL GIVE YOU TIMES TO MEET AT SCHOOL OR IN KOKOMO.  WE WILL DISCUSS HOW AND WHEN TO TURN IN YOUR MONEY.

  • Do you need money for spring break? Buy your Senior Fling tickets in the next two weeks. Not only will your ticket be only 20$ but your name will go into a drawing for a 50$ cash card! Two lucky ticket holders will win!  But you have to buy your ticket before spring break!   You may purchase tickets with Mrs. Koziel in the High School Office.

 

  • High school art club meeting is rescheduled for next Wednesday, March 18th.

 

  • Announcement 3/9-3/20 Eastern High School will present the musical “Mary Poppins” Friday, March 20 at 7:30 and Saturday, March 21 at 4:30.  Tickets may be purchased at booktix.com or at the door. Come join us on the “rooftops of London” where chimney sweeps dance and everything is “practically perfect” when Mary Poppins is around.

 

 

  • Eastern Driver Education enrollment forms are available in the HS office. Forms must be returned by Friday, March 27, 2020 to the HS office.  Email or see  Ms. Carpenter if you have questions.

 

 

  • Tennis season officially begins Monday, March 16th at 3:30 at the tennis courts.

 

  • Friday, March 13 “March is Disability Awareness Month! In honor of Disability Awareness Month the Functional Skills Class and the Sunshine Club will be sponsoring a Trivia Contest on Mondays and Fridays. The first person to email the correct answer to Lexi Hunt or Melissa Meador will win a prize! Today’s Trivia Question is: “Which student in the Functional Skills Class bakes homemade baked goods most nights of the week?”

 

  • Detention today, Friday, will be in Mr. Allison’s room.

 

  • Attention all Cast and Crew of “Mary Poppins”: There will be rehearsal this evening beginning at 5:00 sharp. Make sure you are present.
