Spell Bowl will start Thursday before school at 7:30 in Mr. Johnson’s room.

Attention Juniors and Seniors – Ball State University will be at Eastern on Thursday, September 8 at 1:45. If you would like to attend this meeting, please sign up with Mrs. Koziel in the Guidance Office by Tuesday, September 6.
EHS will have homeroom on Thursday, September 1st. ALL Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors will need to go to their assigned homerooms after 2nd period. ALL Seniors will report to the PAC for important Senior information immediately after 2nd period.

Attention Middle School students, Middle School Student Council will meet on Tuesday, September 6 after school in Ms. Carpenter’s room. All Middle School students are invited to join Student Council. Student Council will plan middle school dances, service projects and many more fun activities. There will be a late bus at 4 for students who need to ride the bus home. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Carpenter or Mr. Fleenor.
The boys cross country team lost to Madison-Grant, 38-23, but raced really well. Obi Greene took the top individual spot in a time of 19:25. It was senior night and seniors Sam Duke and Nate King also raced well, with Nate setting a 37-second personal record of 25:55. Jakob Bertoline also set a new personal record of 22:30. Great job, Comets!
The girls cross country team beat Madison-Grant on senior night, taking the top 3 individual spots in the race. Ava Kantz won the race in 23:09, with Lily Greene in second, and senior Alesia Rummel in 3rd. Hailey Rose and Claire Wavra sealed the win. Congratulations, Comets!
The girls soccer team fell to Tri Central last night after double overtime and a shootout. Lydia Hertzog had 8 saves and an assist, Grace VanBibber had a brace (2 goals), Kate Hubbard had a goal (PK) and an assist, Makenna Brooks had a goal, and Lilly Shallenberger had an assist. Their next game is tonight versus Mississinewa at home! Come out to support your lady comets!
