 Eastern High School Announcements

*Attention all high school students, there will be a call out meeting for anyone interested in being on stage crew for the spring musical. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 18th right after school in the choir room. We will need lots of help moving things, and making sure the show runs smoothly. If you have any questions, please email Lincoln Mentis.

*Come join us for prayer and donuts tomorrow morning February 18th.  We will meet at 7:45 before school in the swim lobby and anyone is welcome to attend!  Come pray for your families, school, country and those in need!

*Be part of something great- join Eastern’s Walk A Mile for the Rescue Mission team!  Spanish Club, SADD and Key Club are all participating but we would like you to join us.  The event is on Saturday morning, Feb. 28, but we are starting to fundraise now.  This is an event for all staff and students.  For more information see or email Mrs. Larson.

*There will be a call out meeting during lunch Wednesday for any Middle School boy or girl interested in golf this season.

*Attention all middle school students. There will be a callout meeting for any middle school student interested in track and field on Thursday, February 19th in the cafeteria during lunch. Any middle school boy or girl can sign up. Hope to see you there!

*Hey Comets! Today’s the day! The Eastern Key Club needs your help to make Eastern’s first ever TEDDY BEAR TOSS a success! Bring any new teddy bear or stuffed toy and during halftime of tonight’s boys basketball game you will throw them on the basketball court. If possible, please keep the new tags on the toys, we will collect them and donate them to local children in need. Cash donations are also accepted. Come help put a smile on a child’s face. See Cora Gunderson for more details.

*High school softball practice will be at the athletic complex on the turf field today.

* Attention all prospective baseball players not currently involved in a winter sport.  Today’s limited contact practice will take place outside at the field at 3:30.  Please wear baseball pants.

*Hello Comet nation! The Eastern Key Club needs you!   • Do you need money for spring break? Buy your Senior Fling tickets in the next two weeks. Not only will your ticket be only 20$ but your name will go into a drawing for a 50$ cash card! Two lucky ticket holders will win!  But you have to buy your ticket before spring break!   You may purchase tickets with Mrs. Koziel in the High School Office.

 

  • High school art club meeting is rescheduled for next Wednesday, March 18th.

 

  • Announcement 3/9-3/20 Eastern High School will present the musical “Mary Poppins” Friday, March 20 at 7:30 and Saturday, March 21 at 4:30.  Tickets may be purchased at booktix.com or at the door. Come join us on the “rooftops of London” where chimney sweeps dance and everything is “practically perfect” when Mary Poppins is around.

 

 

  • Eastern Driver Education enrollment forms are available in the HS office. Forms must be returned by Friday, March 27, 2020 to the HS office.  Email or see  Ms. Carpenter if you have questions.

 

 

  • Tennis season officially begins Monday, March 16th at 3:30 at the tennis courts.

 

  • Friday, March 13 “March is Disability Awareness Month! In honor of Disability Awareness Month the Functional Skills Class and the Sunshine Club will be sponsoring a Trivia Contest on Mondays and Fridays. The first person to email the correct answer to Lexi Hunt or Melissa Meador will win a prize! Today’s Trivia Question is: “Which student in the Functional Skills Class bakes homemade baked goods most nights of the week?”

 

  • Detention today, Friday, will be in Mr. Allison’s room.

 

  • Attention all Cast and Crew of “Mary Poppins”: There will be rehearsal this evening beginning at 5:00 sharp. Make sure you are present.
