Attention summer driver’s ed students, if any driver’s ed student did not receive the Driver’s Ed form for completing driver’s ed in the mail, see Ms. Carpenter before Friday

If you were on the girl’s swim team last school year, please check your email for a very important email from Coach Sarah regarding the Remind group and concession stand duty.

Last night, the girls cross country team raced in the Northwestern Combination.  Though incomplete, they raced well, with Ava Kantz placing 7th in the 1-2 race with a time of 13:03, improving by a full minute on her time from last year.  Alesia Rummel placed 10th in the same race, while Lily Greene placed 9th in the 3-4 race.  Good job, Comets!

The boys cross country team placed 6th in the Northwestern Combination last night.  Obi Greene and Kamp Miller finished 10th and 12th in the 1-2 race.  Kamp improved by a minute and a half over his time last year.  Great job, Comets!

Picture Day for EHS is Friday, Aug 19th.  All Students, including Seniors, are required to get their pictures taken for Student ID’s.  However, you are NOT required to purchase a picture package.    Please contact Mrs. Appleton if you have any questions.

Art club call-out will be Thursday the 18th after school in the art room. Any questions see Ms. Nile.

There will be a Spanish Club call-out meeting for all interested students in high School and middle school.
The meeting will be Today from 3:20-4pm

Attention Juniors and Seniors:  A representative from BSU will be at Eastern on Thursday, September 8 at 1:45.  If you would like to meet with them, please sign up with Mrs. Koziel in the Guidance Office by September 6.

Announcement:

Are you interested in helping out your community and gaining community service hours? If so, then join our Key Club call out meeting this Friday, August 19th at 7:45 before school. We will be providing doughnuts and planning events for this year, so stop by!

The Lady Comets played a great game last night against University but came up short. Lydia Hertzog had an incredible 28 saves! Good work ladies, keep it up!

Madden?  What about Tetris, Valorant, or Rocket League?  If you’re interested in games of this variety, the HEROES Club eSports call-out meeting will take place in Mr. Johnson’s room today at 3:20! Immediately after that meeting, those interested in joining the Comet Control Competitive Rocket League team should stay for additional information.  If you aren’t able to make it, talk to one of the coaches—Mr. Johnson, Ms. Maxwell, or Mr. Booher—and they can catch you up. Hope to see you there!

  • High school art club meeting is rescheduled for next Wednesday, March 18th.

 

  • Announcement 3/9-3/20 Eastern High School will present the musical “Mary Poppins” Friday, March 20 at 7:30 and Saturday, March 21 at 4:30.  Tickets may be purchased at booktix.com or at the door. Come join us on the “rooftops of London” where chimney sweeps dance and everything is “practically perfect” when Mary Poppins is around.

 

 

  • Eastern Driver Education enrollment forms are available in the HS office. Forms must be returned by Friday, March 27, 2020 to the HS office.  Email or see  Ms. Carpenter if you have questions.

 

 

  • Tennis season officially begins Monday, March 16th at 3:30 at the tennis courts.

 

  • Friday, March 13 “March is Disability Awareness Month! In honor of Disability Awareness Month the Functional Skills Class and the Sunshine Club will be sponsoring a Trivia Contest on Mondays and Fridays. The first person to email the correct answer to Lexi Hunt or Melissa Meador will win a prize! Today’s Trivia Question is: “Which student in the Functional Skills Class bakes homemade baked goods most nights of the week?”
