Eastern High School Announcements

*Tickets are still on sale for the senior fling. The cost is 30$ per person and there will be no tickets sold at the door. Deadline for ticket purchase is Thursday May 23″

*Attention Driver’s ED students from last summer, please check your emails for an important announcement regarding an opportunity to take the Driver’s Waiver test with Eastern in June.

*Attention all SADD club members, we will be having a pizza party after school Tuesday May 14th in the Nurse’s office.

*Eastern Girls placed third in the County meet last night at Western.

The Comets were led by Ava Kantz:  1st in the 800 m run, 4th in the 1600m run, and 2nd in the 4×400 relay, with teammates Skyler Brooks, Cora Gunderson, and Jocelyn Rogers.

Other top finishes for the Comets:

* Skyler Brooks placed 2nd in the 100m dash, 4th in long jump.

*Allie Hueston placed second in the 200m dash and 4th in 100m dash

* Hannah Morrisett placed 2nd in pole vault.

*Lily Greene placed 3rd in high jump.

*Cora Gunderson placed 2nd in the 400m dash

*Haven Gunderson placed 4thin the 100m and 300m hurdles

* The 4×100 team of Allie Hueston, Hannah Morrisett, Skyler Brooks, and Cora Gunderson placed third.

*If you are earning a letter jacket this spring, please stop by the Athletic Office on Thursday, May 16, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to be sized for your jacket. The payment for your jacket is due at the time of sizing.

If you THINK you should be earning a jacket but didn’t receive a letter about it, please see Mrs. Woodall in the Athletic Department.”

*Spanish Club members: Our end-of-the-year party will be on Wednesday, May 8 after school until 4pm.  Food, games, and prizes! Celebramos!

 

*Any girls interested in playing soccer next year – including current 8th graders – please plan to attend a call out meeting Friday May 17th right after school in Profe Lorenz’s room. We will have important information regarding summer workouts, next season, and some fun surprises. The meeting will last about 30 minutes. Can’t wait to see you there!

 

*Middle School student council will be having their next meeting on Wednesday the 8th after school in Mr. Fleenors room.

 

*The High School Spring Choral Concert and Awards Night will be this

Saturday at 7:30 in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $5 and may be

purchased at eastern.booktix.net or at the door. You won’t want to miss the

final concert of the year!

Keystone Community Building – Fairgrounds.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office by Wednesday, May 8th.

*Attention all student-athletes.  This is a reminder that our Free Athletic Physical night is tonight from 6:00-8:00 PM.  Physical and athletic paperwork forms are available in the athletic office, high school office, middle school office, and online at gocometsathletics.com.  They will also be available at the check-in table.

*Any boy grades 6 through 12 interested in volleyball, we will have a callout meeting on Monday April 29^th @ 5:30 in the cafeteria.

*Middle school soccer…. Everyone did amazing last night and here are four shoutouts for some exceptional play.

Khyla, you did a great job jumping into each spot and you did not let the boys stop you from getting to the ball.

Emma, great job getting to the ball and thank you for jumping into a new position.

Cambri, fantastic 1st half, thank you as well for jumping into a new position. The practice has really paid off.

Bristol, proud of you for continuing on and making the other team work for the ball. You are so tough!
