Wednesday April 19, 2023.

Seniors:  You are invited as a special guest of the Greentown Lions Club for a FREE dinner honoring EHS Seniors on Monday, May 8.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office by May 1st if you would like to attend.

 

Attention students who signed up for Eastern Drivers Ed this summer. There is a mandatory meeting for students this Thursday, April 20, at 7:45 AM in the cafeteria.

 

There will be a girl’s golf callout meeting directly after school April 21st in room 201 (Middle School). This is for any girl 8th-11th grade that plans to play golf.

 

A representative from Herff Jones will be here during lunch on Monday, April 24^th to deliver any graduation items that were ordered.

 

Need an excuse to get Chipotle?  Join the sophomores on today between 5:00 and 9:00 and 33% of your purchase will go toward the class fund.  Be sure to show a picture of the flyer posted around the building.  Or you can order online using code ZBNCWFC.

 

The academic Super Bowl team competed last night in the area competition at Marion high school. The social studies, science and math teams all placed first, the English team placed second and the fine arts team placed third. Great job academic teams!!!

 

Reminder to ALL Seniors – Please turn in your signed bright yellow Senior Survey form to Mrs. Koziel by Wednesday, April 26.

If you want to attend prom, you must buy your prom tickets today. If you want to take a student from another school, you must have the permission form signed before you can purchase your ticket. No tickets will be sold after Today.

This week and next week there will be a Senior Art Show downtown at the artwork’s gallery, there will be a reception this today, April 14th at 5:00-7:00pm. Come and support your seniors this Friday! If you have any questions, Ms. Nile will be happy to answer!

Thursday April 13, 2023.

Student interested in Eastern Driver’s Education this summer must return the registration form by Friday, April 14.
First class forms are due April 19. Please return to the office by April 19.
Driver’s Education fee must be paid in full by the first class to receive the CDE form for the BMV.
If you have any questions, please email Ms. Carpenter or Mr. Bedwell.

Congratulations to Mrs. Shafer for winning the Eastern Middle School and High School bracket challenge.
She will receive the traveling trophy paddle to display for the year. Nice Job Mrs. Shafer!

Friday March 24, 2023.

The championship round of March Animal Madness has been posted! Which animal is the Comet’s favorite? Stop by the bulletin board in front of Mrs. Foland’s room and scan the QR code to vote for either the panda or the dolphin.

 

Last night the academic super bowl teams competed at Lafayette McCutcheon High School.  The english, science, math, fine arts, and social studies teams all earned first place in their class.  They will compete April 18 in the area competition to possibly earn the right to participate in the state competition.  Great job academic teams!!!

 

There will be a Clinic Night held on Monday, April 10 (the Monday after

Spring Break) for students interested in auditioning for Starlets and Encore

Singers.

Students who are interested, need to sign up for a clinic at either 3:30pm or

6:00pm in the choir room.

Students must attend the Clinic Night to be able to audition.

 

Don’t forget to check the lost and found if you are missing anything.

 

“Attention all 6th through 11th grade student-athletes:  The free sports physical night will be at Taylor High School on Monday, April 10, from 6 to 8  p.m.

Physical packets for the 2023-2024 school year can be picked up in the athletic office starting this Thursday, March 23.  They can also be found on the athletic website and will be available on April 10 at Taylor as well.”

6:00pm in the choir room.

Students must attend the Clinic Night to be able to audition.

Seniors: The Senior Fling will take place graduation night, June 4th from 9:00 pm – 1:00 am. There will be games, food and prizes. Seniors can purchase a ticket in the High School Office, from Mrs. Appleton, for $25 by March 25th or $30 after spring break.

Purchase your ticket before spring break and you’ll have a chance to win $50.

Any Junior boy that would like to attend Boy’s State please sign up the Guidance Office with Mrs. Koziel by Thursday, March 23.
