Eastern High School Announcements

Friday May 5, 2023.

“Seniors, sign up now to attend Senior Fling. Tickets are $30 and everyone gets a prize! There will be food, games and music. It’s graduation night from 9-1 am. You can buy your ticket from Mrs. Appleton.”

The Freshmen Class Officers will be selling sour mania suckers during lunches and before school for $1.  Don’t miss out!

All Juniors who are scheduled to take Econ this summer, please see Mrs. Koziel TODAY!

Step right up to the greatest library in town! Join the library for activities all month, starting with a cookout on Friday.  We will also be having circus treats, a creepy carnival and ice cream sundaes throughout the month.  Stop in the library for a list of activities.  Check out the showcase, in the hall outside the library, for prizes you can win.  For more information, see one of the librarians.

“If you are earning a letter jacket this spring, please stop by the Athletic Office on Tuesday, May 9, between 8:45 and 3:00 to be sized for your jacket. The payment for your jacket will also be due at the time of sizing.

If you THINK you should be earning a jacket but didn’t receive a letter about it, please see Mrs. Woodall in the Athletic Department.”

Attention Middle School Comets interested in Cheerleading.  There will be a parent and cheerleader callout meeting on Wednesday, May 10 at 5 pm in the cafeteria.  Please make plans to attend.

Coach Justice would like to congratulate the Middle School Girls soccer team.  Emma did awesome at stopping the ball and maintained a positive attitude throughout the entire game.  Anne was aggressive and put a stop to the play several times.  Carly was aggressive throughout the game and was making it a challenge for even the big tall  boys on the team.  Great job ladies.

You all have an opportunity to travel to Paris, Rome and Madrid during spring break of 2025!  Check your email and talk to Mrs. Larson for details.  We will have an informational meeting next Wed, May 3 at 6pm

Coach Justice would like to give a shout out to the girls soccer team for a job well done last night.  Jocelyn did awesome on Defense and made several stops throughout the night.  Cory had great intensity, speed, and agility throughout the entire game.  Ella was a wall on defense and was not letting anyone through.  Great job girls!

Friday April 21, 2023.

There will be a girl’s golf callout meeting directly after school today in room 201 (Middle School). This is for any girl 8th-11th grade that plans to play golf.

HERFF JONES WILL BE IN THE CAFETERIA DURING THE LUNCH PERIODS ON MONDAY, APRIL 24 TO DELIVER GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS, MUGS, AND ALL OTHER GRADUATOIN PRODUCTS EXCEPT THE CAPS AND GOWNS.

A special shout-out to a few girls on the Middle School Soccer team.  Maggie did a great job hustling to the ball and putting a stop to the play on defense.  Malaia played great defense and helped to really put a stop to the play in the box.  Arie did an excellent job in playing both offense and defense.  Emma received a great compliment from the ref for always having a positive attitude.  Great Job Girls.

The softball game tonight at Southwood is cancelled.

Middle school Southwood invitational track meet tomorrow is cancelled.
