Eastern High School Announcements

Tuesday October 24, 2023.

Any boy or girl that missed the wrestling call out meeting and is interested in wrestling this year, please see Coach Pence in the wrestling room after school this week. Practices will start Monday, October 30^th.

The High School Boys Swim Team Call Out will be on Wednesday after school in the pool area.

Attention Juniors and Seniors – A representative from Indiana Wesleyan will be at Eastern on Tuesday, October 31 at 11:40.  If you would like to learn more about IWU, please sign up with Mrs. Koziel in the Guidance Office by Monday, October 30.

Girls interested in preseason track and field conditioning:  there will be a short informational meeting
THIS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26 at 3:15 in the cafeteria.  We will decide the two best days to have after-school conditioning and discuss workouts.  Workouts will begin the following week.
THIS CONDITIONING IS FOR ATHLETES NOT PARTICIPATING IN A WINTER SPORT, and you must have a physical on file to come.
If you can’t make the meeting, but would like information, please see/ email Mrs. Kantz!

Middle School Student Council will have their next meeting this Thursday October 26th after school.

Congratulations to Obi Greene!  On Saturday, at the Brownsburg Regional, Obi tied his personal record of 16:08 to place 25th and move on the State cross country meet in Terre Haute next Saturday.  Obi ran an outstanding race.  Great job!

Wednesday October 11, 2023.

Middle School Boys Basketball will have open gym today from 5:30-7:00 and Thursday morning, 10/12 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Tryouts are on Monday, October 23rd from 5:15-7:00. Contact Coach Kretz with questions.

Make sure to come out and support the volleyball team tomorrow in their first game of sectionals @ 6:00.

Eastern High School Announcements

Friday October 6, 2023.

Last night, the Lady Comets won round one of sectionals beating Rossville 4-0! Makenna Brooks scored two goals and had an assist, Brooklyn Brooks had two assists, Lily Greene scored a goal, Alia Dutton scored a goal, Grace VanBibber had an assist, and Ruby Sheets had 9 saves. The player of the game was Elle Hamilton who recorded one shot on goal (nice save, Ruby!). Tonight they play Tri Central at 5pm at Sheridan. Go get ‘em, ladies!

We will be having a Homeroom schedule on Monday. KACC students should plan to arrive a few minutes early.

“If you are earning a letter jacket this fall, please stop by the Athletic Office this Thusrday, Oct. 5, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to be sized for your jacket. The payment for your jacket is due at the time of sizing.

If you THINK you should be earning a jacket but didn’t receive a letter about it, please see Mrs. Woodall in the Athletic Department.”

The Lady Comets soccer were victorious against Taylor 7-0 on Saturday morning. Grace VanBibber had a hat trick and 2 assists, Brooklyn Brooks had 2 goals and an assist, Makenna Brooks scored 2 goals, Kate Hubbard had an assist, Ada Merritt has an assist, Alia Dutton had an assist, and Reagan Princell had an assist. Great job ladies, way to finish the regular season strong! This week begins sectionals as they take on Rossville at 5pm at Sheridan on Thursday. Let’s go Comets!!
