*High School and Middle School students, if you are interested in the Spanish language or culture, be a part of this year’s Spanish Club! No Spanish experience is needed.  We are meeting on Wednesday at 3:15 in Mrs. Larson’s room to discuss a fun year full of celebrations, field trips and of course FOOD.  See you Wednesday, Aug. 14 after school!

*Ever see yourself on stage? Want to be in the spotlight? Drama Club is having a call out meeting Tomorrow 5:30 in the PAC. We will be announcing the school play this year. Anyone from 7th-12th grade can participate. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Maxwell. Parents and guardians are invited.

*Any high school girls interested in softball, there will be a call out meeting today after school in the cafeteria.

*There will be a Sunshine Club callout meeting on Thursday August 15th at 7:45 in Ms. Meador’s room.

*There will be a Science Club callout meeting on Friday August 16th at 7:45 in Ms. Meador’s room.

*Seniors – anyone who is even remotely interested in going on the senior trip this year, there will be a meeting tonight at 8 pm in the cafeteria. We will announce the dates, the costs, and some really great things we’re doing for the first time this year. Please plan to attend and parents are encouraged to come. 8 pm in the cafeteria tonight.

*HS students:  the last day to request a possible schedule change is Thursday, Aug 8 at 3:00 p.m.  You must complete the form that Mrs. Slee and Mr. Johnson emailed on the 1st day of school to be called down to discuss this with them.

*Middle School tennis will NOT have practice tonight.

Practice will start tomorrow after school.

*Cross country!  There will be a call-out meeting for the cross-country team in Coach Cox’s room (Room 116) on Friday morning at 7:45.

*Students who are signed up to take AP biology next school year, there will be a summer assignment meeting in Mr. Everett’s room tomorrow morning at 7:45.  Don’t be late!!!

*Please check the lost and found area if you are missing anything. This area will be cleaned out over the summer.

*Attention Seniors you have until tomorrow to get your senior fling tickets. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

*Congratulations to Makenna Brooks who qualified for State IN ALL OF HER EVENTS at last night’s Kokomo Regional.
She won the long jump with a new school record of 19’ 1”— an all-area best!
She placed 2nd in the 100 m dash and 3rd in the 200 m dash.
Makenna will run at the State Track Meet held in Bloomington on June 1.

*Cross country!  There will be a call-out meeting for the cross-country team in Coach Cox’s room (Room 116) on Friday morning at 7:45.

*Great job to the girls soccer team.

*”Hey all you procrastinating seniors! You better get on it and go buy your senior fling tickets before you find yourself gnashing your teeth outside the entrance but unable to come in!!!

Also, for all you folks that like danger, there will be a dodgeball tournament! Teams must be made ahead of time and consist of 5 players, at least 2 of which need to be ladies! The prize is 250 bucks so it’s well worth risking getting smashed in the face or a minor concussion.
