    Eastern High School Announcements

 Wednesday September 6, 2023.

The Eastern Lady Comets beat Western last night 7-1. Brooklyn Brooks scored 3 goals with 2 assists; Makenna Brooks also scored 3 goals with 1 assist; Grace VanBibber scored a goal; and Alia Dutton had an assist. Ruby Sheets had 6 saves. Come out to watch them take on Maconaquah at home tomorrow Thursday at 5:30. Keep it up Ladies!!

 

Attention Juniors and Seniors – A representative from Ball State University will be at Eastern on Thursday, September 14 at 1:45.  If you would like to learn more about Ball State, please sign up with Mrs. Koziel in the Guidance Office by Wednesday, September 13.

 

The homecoming tailgate is going to start at 6pm for any staff member or students that would like to attend. There will be food, cornhole, and music for everyone to enjoy!

 

Are you a student who loves technology? Do you love to tinker? Do you like to make stuff? If this is you, please come to the Middle School Tech club on Fridays after school from 3:15 to 4:15PM. We will meet this Friday right after school downstairs in Mr. Mink’s room 317. See Mr. Mink if you are not able to attend the meeting. See ya soon!!

Today there will be a Middle School student-led Bible study small group after school at 3:15-4:00 in Ms.Warnocks room. See Abby Foutch in 8th grade if you have questions!

Friday is Green and Gold Day!

 

 

The student council is having a canned food drive this week. This will be a competition between 9-12 grade. The winners will be announced Monday September 11th. All the cans donated will go toward the Buddy Bag program throughout the school year. Please check your email for information sent out by Mrs. Nibert.

 

 

Last night, the boys cross country team lost to Clinton Prairie.  Obi Greene led the Comets, placing 2nd with a time of 18:42.  Jakob Bertoline ran a season-best time of 20:58 to finish in 6th.  Royal Titus also ran a season best of 32:42.  Senior Kamp Miller recorded a time of 21:40 to place 7th.  Great job, Comets!

 

 

Last night, the girls cross country team was incomplete on Senior night against an also-incomplete Clinton Prairie squad; both teams fielded 4 runners.  Ava Kantz led the team, taking 1st place with a time of 22:06.  Addie Conner recorded a season-best 28:52 for 4th place.  Also, though it doesn’t count, if you score the meet for only 4 runners, the Comets won by a score of 16-20.  Congratulations, Comets!
