Eastern High School Announcements

*The boy’s tennis team defeated Maconaquah by the score of 5-0 last night.   Congrats to Evan Lapp on getting his first varsity win!  The Comets move to 8-4 on the season and are in action next when traveling to Marion on Thursday.  Go Comets!!!

Come join us on Wednesday morning September 25th at 7:40 for See you at the Pole.  We will gather to pray for our schools and country on the national school day of prayer!

*Attention Juniors and Seniors – A representative from Purdue University School of Engineering will be at Eastern on Friday, September 20th, at 8:30.  If you would like to learn more about Purdue University School of Engineering, please sign up with Mrs. Koziel in the Guidance Office by Thursday, September 19th.

*There will have a SADD club meeting September 24th, 3:30-4pm, in the cafeteria.

*Powderpuff practice will continue tonight. 9th and 11th grade will be from 6-7 pm, with 10th and 12th grade from 7-8 pm.

*The Eastern Key Club will be partnering with the Salvation Army in their Fall Coats for Kids drive through the end of September. Winter is just around the corner and many in our community will be in need of a warm coat. Please consider dropping off new or gently used coats, hats, scarves, or gloves in the tote outside the main office. All sizes are needed, and we appreciate your help.

*Attention Juniors and Seniors – A representative from IU Kokomo will be at Eastern on Monday, September 23 at 11:20.  If you would like to learn more about IU Kokomo, please sign up with Mrs. Koziel in the Guidance Office by Friday, September 20th.

*Spanish Club: We will have tile painting and Hispanic Heritage Month planning on Wednesday after school until 4pm.  This is not a mandatory meeting.

* Homecoming is Next Week! The Dress-Up Days are as follows:

Monday: Twin Day

Tuesday: Color Wars (Fr-Blue, So-Purple, Jr-Orange, Sr-Red, Teachers-Black

Wednesday: Athletes vs Mathletes

Thursday: Decade Day (Fr-50s, So-2000s, Jr-90s, Seniors-80s, Teachers-60s)

Friday: Green and Gold

*Any club or sport interested in having a float in the homecoming parade needs to sign-up on the sheet in the high school office.  All floats must be driven by a non-student adult driver.  The deadline for float sign-ups is Wednesday, September 25th.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Nibert.
