*There will be an informational meeting for any high school student interested in teaching swim lessons this summer on April 17th right after school in Mrs. Nibert’s room. If you are looking for a fun summer job, enjoy working with kids, and have some knowledge of swimming skills, this could be a great opportunity for you! If you cannot make the meeting, be sure to see Mrs. Nibert to pick up the information.
*Spanish Club members- if you are going on the field trip Friday turn in your permission slip and money to Mrs. Larson on Tuesday. If you have not picked up a permission slip or field trip information and are interested in going, see Mrs. Larson.
*Girls Track places fifth at Big Orange Invite at Hamilton Heights. The Comets were led by Makenna Brooks, who had an amazing day. She won the 100m dash, 200m dash, and long jump.
She set a school record in the 200 m dash, and due to all her efforts was named the Outstanding Female Athlete for the meet.
Other athletes who placed at Big Orange were Hannah Morrisett who placed third in pole vault.
Ava Kantz placed third and set a PR in the 800 m run; Elisabeth Bruno placed third in shot put and fourth in discus;
Lily Greene placed fourth in high jump, tying her PR; Zoey Sexton got a PR in 400 m dash.
Haven Gunderson setting season bests in the hurdles. Cora Gunderson got a PR for her 400.
The Comets take on Delphi and Tri-Central tonight at Delphi.
*The National Honor Society’s annual blood drive will be this Friday, April 19th. The American Red Cross will be here to collect donations from students and staff between 2nd and 6th periods. Anyone 16 and older is eligible to donate. Sign up on the bulletin board outside of Mrs. Foland’s room.
*Can you escape Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria in time??? Get your friends and join the library as we host an escape room this Saturday, May 20. Stop in or call the library to register a time. You’ll have 30 minutes to escape. Good luck!!!!!!
*”The Comet Command will be holding Color Guard call outs and Drum Line call outs next Wednesday from 5:30 – 7:30. All students are welcome 7 – 12. This is a call out for the upcoming 2024 – 2025 season. Contact Mr. Sloniker if you have any questions!”
