The boys cross country team placed 6th in the Hoosier Heartland Conference meet on Saturday. Obi Greene earned All-Conference honors for his 5th-place, personal record performance of 17:51. Kamp Miller earned Honorable Mention for his 16th-place, personal record time of 19:09. Jakob Bertoline, Amos Greene, Gavin Sonafrank, and Nate King also set new personal records. Outstanding job, Comets!
The girls cross country team placed 4th in the Hoosier Heartland Conference meet on Saturday. Ava Kantz and Lily Greene earned All-Conference recognition for the 5th- and 10th-place finishes, respectively. Both girls also set new personal records. Alesia Rummel earned Honorable Mention for her 15th-place finish. Addie Conner put in a season-best performance. Outstanding performance, Comets!
Congratulations to the 8th grade volleyball team on winning the Howard County Tournament 2 years in a row.

The library is hosting a Scholastic book fair October 3 – October 7 for middle/high school students. Visit the library anytime during open hours.
Auditions for the 2022 Variety Show will be Tuesday, October 25.
All High School students are invited to prepare an act and audition.
Information concerning the Variety Show will be posted in the Choir Hallway.
Friday, Oct. 7 Student Council will host the first Eastern Middle school dance from 7-9 in the cafeteria. Admission is $5.00.
Parent Chaperones are needed for the dance. Parent Chaperones slips can be picked up from Mr. Fleenor or Ms. Carpenter. Free admission to students who have a parent chaperones the dance.
Only Eastern Middle School students are allowed to come to the dance.
SADD Club will have a meeting Tuesday Oct 4th right after school in the nurse’s office.
Wednesday, October 5 will be a “Homeroom” Day. KACC students, please plan accordingly.
