The Lady Comets beat Rossville last night 3 – 0 and now advances to the sectional championship versus Tipton. Brooklyn Brooks led the Comets with two goals – both scored off penalty kicks taken from outside the box. Jadelyn Secrease added an impressive goal by scoring off a quick break away. Keeper Ruby Sheets played an outstanding game in goal with 11 saves to keep the Comets with a clean sheet. Come out tomorrow, Saturday at 2pm at Tipton High School to support them as they play for the Sectional title! We are so proud of you ladies! Go get the W.
For all boys interested in playing 7th grade basketball this year, there will be open gym next Wednesday, October 12th and next Thursday, October 13th from 6:00-7:30 in the auxiliary gym. In order to participate at open gym, each student-athlete must have the required physical and athletic paperwork on file in the athletic office.
There will be a call-out meeting for any high school girl interested in swimming and/or diving after school on Tuesday, October 11, in Coach Sarah’s classroom (Room 101). If you cannot make the meeting, please stop by Coach Sarah’s room any time to pick up the information packet and calendar.
Attention Juniors and Seniors – A representative from Indiana University Kokomo will be at Eastern on Tuesday, October 10 at 10:30. If you would like to learn more about IUK, please sign up with Mrs. Koziel in the Guidance Office by Friday, October 7th.

“If you are earning a letter jacket this fall, please stop by the Athletic Office on Monday, October 10, between 8:45 and 3:00 to be sized for your jacket. The payment for your jacket will also be due at the time of sizing.
If you THINK you should be earning a jacket but didn’t receive a letter about it, please see Mrs. Woodall in the Athletic Department.”
