*Students in grades 7th thru 10th….We are going to Costa Rica in 2027! There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, January 29. See Mrs. Larson for more details.
*Both the boys and girls swim teams had an excellent day at the Hoosier Heartland Conference meet on Saturday! Both teams finished second behind rival Clinton Central, but most of the success was personal. As a team, there were 33 best times achieved by the swimmers, 8 conference champions, and two conference records (and one school record) broken. Individual conference victories were picked up by Caden Kerns in the 200IM, Grant Kerns in the 50 and 100 free, Joceyln Rogers won diving, and Ava Kantz in the 200 and 500 free. The boys 200 free relay team of Obi Greene, Evan Lapp, Caden Kerns, and Grant Kerns picked up the win in an exciting race, while the girls 400 Free relay team of Audrey Higgins, Raygan McClain, Haven Gunderson, and Ava Kantz also picked up the win. Ava Kantz absolutely shattered the previous conference records in the 200 and 500 freestyle, and lowered her own school record in the 200 free. Overall, it was an excellent day of swimming! Great job, Comets!!
