  • Participate in the 1st annual Key Club Dodgeball tournament.  Registration takes place at lunches.  Cast is $48 per team or $8 per person.  Teams need to have 6 players, team can be co-ed. The tournament will take place Monday, January 8th from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. VanMatre or any Key Club Member.
  • There will be another Track & Field meeting for the HS Boys on Monday, November 20 at 3:15 in the café. This will be for turning in money for out fundraiser. Please bring your form and money and collect another form for the second week of selling.
  • ATTENTION ALL FACS CLUB MEMBERS:  NEXT MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20, please plan to meet in Mrs. Bishir’s room immediately after school to make cookies that will be used to provide Thanksgiving meals to a few families in our community.  We are partnering with the Sunshine Club.
  • New Comet gear is for sale now through Monday. We are selling t-shirts, sweatshirts and baseball t’s for ALL Comet Fans. You can pick up an order form at lunch or from Mrs. Eikenberry. Your money is due to Mrs. Eikenberry (or can be turned in during lunch time) by Monday the 20th! Go Comets
  • Reminder to students who signed up for the Flu Shot Clinic today:  We will call you down to the PAC lobby by class.  We should begin at the end of first period and be finished by the end of second period. Please listen for the announcement and come to the PAC lobby when your class is called.

  • Seniors going on the Senior Trip:   There is a MANDATORY meeting for anyone going on the Senior Trip Wednesday, November 15 at 8:30 pm in Mrs. Eikenberry’s room.   This meeting is MANDATORY for students and optional for parents.

Kara Riley, wife of our own Wil Riley, is looking for students in current grades 7th-11th to participate with the color guard in open practices to give it a try. The first open practice is Wednesday, November 15th from 3:30p to 5:30p. Meet in the band hallway by the guard room. Wear clothes you can move around in. These practices are open to give anyone a chance to learn something new. You don’t have to commit to being in the guard at these practices. If you have questions or want to RSVP, email Kara Riley through the school email.
  • Travelers to Scotland and England: We will have a meeting this Thursday in the Library Community Room at 6:00 PM. This is a mandatory meeting.
  • Today is the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout.  Smoker’s are asked to quit smoking today or make a plan to quit. Smoking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke and lung diseases. On average, smokers die 13 to 14 years earlier than nonsmokers.  If you know someone who smokes, encourage them to make a plan to quit today!!!!

  • 11/8 – 11/ 15 – Do you like to Dance? Perform? Compete? Want to learn some pretty sweet skills? If so, then Color Guard may be for you! Kara Riley, wife of our own Wil Riley, is looking for students in current grades 7th-11th to participate with the color guard in open practices to give it a try. The first open practice is Wednesday, November 15th from 3:30p to 5:30p. Meet in the band hallway by the guard room. Wear clothes you can move around in. These practices are open to give anyone a chance to learn something new. You don’t have to commit to being in the guard at these practices. If you have questions or want to RSVP, email Kara Riley through the school email.

  • Read on M, W & F only:   The Sunshine Club wants to keep you warm this winter by hosting a winter gear-up.  Gather your old but gently used coats, gloves, scarves, or any winter gear, and drop them off in the HS office before November 10th.

    Open Soccer starts this Saturday(tomorrow) at 7:00 pm. In the Auxiliary gym. All students are invited. Come and get some exercise and have some fun playing soccer with your friends.

    Tonight is MEET THE COMETS night for grades 5-12 Boys Basketball.  The 5th grade will get things rolling at 5:30 pm and each class playing a 20 minute scrimmage.  Your Boy’s Varsity, Junior Varsity and COMET Squad will scrimmage from 7:30 till 8:30.  Also this year we will be selling some THROWBACK COMET JERSEYS for $5.00 beginning at 5:00 pm ..
