Eastern High School Announcements

Friday April 28, 2023.

“Seniors, sign up now to attend Senior Fling. Tickets are $30 and everyone gets a prize! There will be food, games and music. It’s graduation night from 9-1 am. You can buy your ticket from Mrs. Appleton.”

Middle Schools Girls Soccer will meet in the auxiliary gym right after school.

Attention Middle School Student Council. We will have our end of the year party on May 17, after school until 4PM.

On May 19, Middle school will have the End of the Year Bash for Eastern Middle School students only. The bash will be from 6-10 PM with $10.00 admission. If you have a parent chaperone, you get in for free. See Mr. Fleenor or Ms. Carpenter for a parent chaperone form.

Attention classes of 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028:
You all have an opportunity to travel to Paris, Rome and Madrid during spring break of 2025!  Check your email and talk to Mrs. Larson for details.  We will have an informational  meeting next Wed, May 3 at 6pm

Coach Justice would like to give a shout out to the girls soccer team for a job well done last night.  Jocelyn did awesome on Defense and made several stops throughout the night.  Cory had great intensity, speed, and agility throughout the entire game.  Ella was a wall on defense and was not letting anyone through.  Great job girls!

There will be a girl’s golf callout meeting directly after school today in room 201 (Middle School). This is for any girl 8th-11th grade that plans to play golf.

HERFF JONES WILL BE IN THE CAFETERIA DURING THE LUNCH PERIODS ON MONDAY, APRIL 24 TO DELIVER GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS, MUGS, AND ALL OTHER GRADUATOIN PRODUCTS EXCEPT THE CAPS AND GOWNS.

A special shout-out to a few girls on the Middle School Soccer team.  Maggie did a great job hustling to the ball and putting a stop to the play on defense.  Malaia played great defense and helped to really put a stop to the play in the box.  Arie did an excellent job in playing both offense and defense.  Emma received a great compliment from the ref for always having a positive attitude.  Great Job Girls.

The softball game tonight at Southwood is cancelled.

Middle school Southwood invitational track meet tomorrow is cancelled.

A representative from Herff Jones will be here during lunch on Monday, April 24^th to deliver any graduation items that were ordered.

The academic Super Bowl team competed last night in the area competition at Marion high school. The social studies, science and math teams all placed first, the English team placed second and the fine arts team placed third. Great job academic teams!!!

Juniors and Seniors,
If you want to attend prom, you must buy your prom tickets today. If you want to take a student from another school, you must have the permission form signed before you can purchase your ticket. No tickets will be sold after Today.

This week and next week there will be a Senior Art Show downtown at the artwork’s gallery, there will be a reception this today, April 14th at 5:00-7:00pm. Come and support your seniors this Friday! If you have any questions, Ms. Nile will be happy to answer!
