Eastern High School Announcements

Tuesday March 12, 2024

* Senior fling tickets are now available in the high school office. It will be from 10pm-1am with food, fun, games, mega dodgeball and cash prizes. If you want to participate, you MUST register in the front office and pay the whopping 25$ for a spot. Once spring break is over, the price goes up to 30$ So register now, all early birds get their names in a drawing for gift cards worth 25-50$

Bring cash to Mrs. Appleton in the high school office.

* “The high school softball team is in need of a team manager. If interested, please see Coach Shively at a practice after school this week.”

*”International Comets who are traveling to Italy and Greece with Mr. Stites and Ms. Carpenter need to meet for a brief meeting in Mr. Stites’ classroom on Thursday, March 14th right after the 8:05 bell.”

* Attention Juniors & Seniors interested in attending or accepted in Purdue University, West Lafayette Campus.  On Tuesday, March 12 we will have a former student coming in to chat with anyone interested about life at Purdue.  She will have lots of inside information and tips on how to be successful in college and what to expect about campus life.

If you are interested, please sign up with Mrs. Koziel by Monday, March 11 at 3:00.

* Hey Seniors! Do you like money? Do you like free food? Do you like live animals juggling fireworks? Come to the Senior Fling the night of graduation! It’s from 10pm-1am with food, fun, games, mega dodgeball and cash prizes…ok, no live animals, but still.  * Congratulations to the Starlets and Encore Singers for bringing home GOLDS this past Saturday at the ISSMA Show Choir Contest. Two great performances and many hours of hard work!

* Eastern High School Drivers Education registration has begun. To be eligible to enroll in Driver Education, a student must be 15 years old by May 31, 2024. If you are interested in participating in Eastern’s Drivers Ed this summer, pick up a registration form at the High School office and return the application to the high school main office by March 22, 2024.

* There will be no Middle School Tech Club today.

* To all Walk A Mile participants:

Thank you to the cheerleaders, Key Club, Spanish Club, members of Junior National Society, staff and everyone that raised money for a great cause!The donations you raised will help supply food and shelter for homeless women and their children.

If you raised money for Walk a Mile and did not get your shirt on Saturday, see Gabby Roach today to pick it up.

We want everyone to wear their shirts on Tuesday for a group photo.  Meet in front of the high school office at 7:55am on Tuesday for a group photo.

* It was a very successful weekend for the Comet Command! Senior Allie Adams, Junior Porter Stone, and Freshman Claire Rush all received Golds at State Solo and Ensemble! Great job!

* Walk A Mile participants-

Bring your money to Walk A Mile on Saturday.  If you are riding the bus, we will leave the student parking lot- Door 8 at 7:30 am. If you are meeting us in Kokomo, be there at 8am and meet us by the big shoe. Thanks to everyone who represented Eastern in this event!
