* Greentown Lions Club is inviting all EHS Seniors as special guests to the Lions Club dinner meeting on May 13, 2024, at 7:00pm @ the
Keystone Community Building – Fairgrounds.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office by Wednesday, May 8th.

*There will be a girl’s golf callout meeting at 3:30 in the cafe on May 17.

*Tickets are still on sale for the senior fling. The cost is 30$ per person and there will be no tickets sold at the door. Deadline for ticket purchase is Thursday May 23″

*Spanish Club members: Our end-of-the-year party will be on Wednesday, May 8 after school until 4pm.  Food, games, and prizes! Celebramos!

*Any girls interested in playing soccer next year – including current 8th graders – please plan to attend a call out meeting Friday May 17th right after school in Profe Lorenz’s room. We will have important information regarding summer workouts, next season, and some fun surprises. The meeting will last about 30 minutes. Can’t wait to see you there!

*There will be NO middle school girls soccer practice tonight.

*Middle school students who have signed up for the Scotland and England trip 2026 we will have an informational meeting May 2, we will be meeting in the cafeteria, please enter through the cafeteria doors on the east side. The meeting will begin promptly at 6.

*Attention all student-athletes.  This is a reminder that our Free Athletic Physical night is tonight from 6:00-8:00 PM.  Physical and athletic paperwork forms are available in the athletic office, high school office, middle school office, and online at gocometsathletics.com.  They will also be available at the check-in table.

*Middle school soccer…. Everyone did amazing last night and here are four shoutouts for some exceptional play.

Khyla, you did a great job jumping into each spot and you did not let the boys stop you from getting to the ball.

Emma, great job getting to the ball and thank you for jumping into a new position.

Cambri, fantastic 1st half, thank you as well for jumping into a new position. The practice has really paid off.

Bristol, proud of you for continuing on and making the other team work for the ball. You are so tough!

*Wednesday, April 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Comet Command will be holding Color Guard and Drum Line callouts for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. All students in the 7^th through 12^th grade are welcome.  Contact Mr. Sloniker if you have any questions!

*The Comet Command traveled to Marion HS and received Gold at ISSMA this past weekend!  Congratulations to all members of the Comet command!”

*There will be an informational meeting for any high school student interested in teaching swim lessons this summer on April 17th right after school in Mrs. Nibert’s room.  If you are looking for a fun summer job, enjoy working with kids, and have some knowledge of swimming skills, this could be a great opportunity for you! If you cannot make the meeting, be sure to see Mrs. Nibert to pick up the information.

 

*The National Honor Society’s annual blood drive will be this Friday, April 19th. The American Red Cross will be here to collect donations from students and staff between 2nd and 6th periods. Anyone 16 and older is eligible to donate. Sign up on the bulletin board outside of Mrs. Foland’s room.

*Can you escape Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria in time???  Get your friends and join the library as we host an escape room this Saturday, May 20.  Stop in or call the library to register a time.  You’ll have 30 minutes to escape.  Good luck!!!!!!

* Middle School:  The bake sale will be available at lunch all this week! Be sure to visit the lollipop tree to win a prize.  Lollipops are 2/$1 or 5/$2.  Proceeds are helping eradicate hunger.  Thank you for your support!
