*2026 Summer Driver’s Ed information is available in the office for any EHS student who will be 15 years of age before May 31, 2026. Please pick up the information paper from the HS office.
*Attention Juniors and Seniors – A representative from IU Kokomo will be at Eastern on Tuesday, February 17 at 10:30. If you would like to learn more about IUK, please sign up with Mrs. Koziel in the Guidance Office by Monday, February 16.
*The Eastern Key Club will be hosting a sucker sale from now until the end of the week. Suckers are being sold for one dollar each and proceeds are going towards the Walk A Mile Fundraiser and other community outreach efforts. Stop by the Key Club table in the cafeteria during lunch to get yours today!
*Middle School FCS will meet today in Ms. Carpenter’s room after school.
*SADD club, please see Profe Larson in her classroom for Walk a Mile packets and sign up for a time slot for Dessert Night!
*Tomorrow’s dress up day is Green and Gold
* Just a reminder, school WILL be in session Monday, February 16th.
*Winter Homecoming/Semi-Formal Dance on Saturday, February 14, from 7-10pm in the High School Cafeteria! Tickets will be $10 and are on sale today. Tickets can be purchased throughout the day from Mrs. Nibert’s room (room 101). Ticket sales will end TODAY. No tickets will be sold at the door. Anyone wanting to bring a date from another school/not a current Eastern Student will need to pick up a guest permission form in the high school office. This dance is for high school students only! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Nibert.
*Attention all high school students, there will be a call out meeting for anyone interested in being on stage crew for the spring musical. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 18th right after school in the choir room. We will need lots of help moving things, and making sure the show runs smoothly. If you have any questions, please email Lincoln Mentis.
*Come join us for prayer and donuts on Wednesday morning February 18th. We will meet at 7:45 before school in the swim lobby and anyone is welcome to attend! Come pray for your families, school, country and those in need!
*Be part of something great- join Eastern’s Walk A Mile for the Rescue Mission team! Spanish Club, SADD and Key Club are all participating but we would like you to join us. The event is Saturday, morning, Feb. 28, but we are starting fundraising now. This is an event for all staff and students. For more information see or email Mrs. Larson.
*Art Club will be held in the library on Tuesday, February 17th after school. We will be creating with Fimo Clay. Bring your imagination and join us from 3-4.
*There will be a call out meeting during lunch next Wednesday for any Middle School boy or girl interested in golf this season.
*Hello Comet nation! The Eastern Key Club needs you! On Tuesday Feb 17th join us for our first ever TEDDY BEAR TOSS during the halftime of the boys’ varsity basketball game. Bring any new teddy bear or stuffed toy and during halftime you will throw them on the basketball court. We will collect them and donate them to Riley’s Children’s Hospital. Come help put a smile on a child’s face. See Mr. Mink for more details.
